Senior People & Culture Business Partner

Salary Range: $67-71k

What You Will Accomplish

We are looking for a Senior People and Culture Business Partner that will act as a business partner to our General Manager and the operations team on property, to align business objectives with teammates and management. This role will provide support and advise their client group on recruitment, learning and development, labor relations, and performance management, payroll, and benefits. As this is an on-property position, some alternating weekday hours, and weekend may be required at times; this position requires flexibility to support the team on property.

This role will report to the Vice President of People & Culture with an on-property dotted line to the General Manager.

  • Provides guidance to the team, and support to the General Manager in all aspects of people strategy, partnering with business leaders to identify their teammate needs & given objectives
  • Works to improve business results through lowering turnover, improving manager effectiveness, and developing high-performing teammates
  • Maintains knowledge of employment regulations, industry trends, and business unit trends, ensuring compliance and implementing corrective measures when appropriate.
  • Guides operations on teammate relations to achieve problem resolution; conducts investigations involving teammate complaints and disputes; resolves issues
  • Collaborates with VP of People & Culture and the home office team to enforce team member programs, policies, and procedures; effectively communicates and employs these policies and procedures
  • Ensures that strong leadership and a coaching culture permeates the organization
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to team members sharing knowledge on all People & Culture and property related matters, maintaining high team engagement through regular communication, teammate recognition, and ongoing teammate interactions
  • Oversees and processes payroll, Worker's Compensation, and benefits
  • Seeks support on all matters People from home office as needed
  • Facilitation of New Hire Orientation
  • Interactive and collaborates with other regional People & Culture team members on a regular through monthly meetings, events, etc.

What You Will Bring

  • Associate's degree and/or certification with Human Resources and/or related discipline
  • 4+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver center of excellence service.
  • 4+ years of experience in a role showcasing strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & Smartsheet's, HRIS is required
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is highly preferred, reflecting the ability to manage high-volume, customer-focused environments.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Hospitality and/or similar industry with proven ability to manage high-volume, internal client-focused environment is a must
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish, both written and verbal, skill is a MUST
